Legal Services RFP Revision 3-14-11

Addendum I Legal Services Request for Proposal

Section 1, article C permits the IAOC to revise the RFP before March 15, 2011 and post the change where the RFP was posted.

The IAOC revises Section II, article H, which stated:

H.  Type of Contract(s)
 1.  The contract(s) will be a fixed-price, which could include pro bono, contract, except for services as noted in the Statement of Work. 

Article H is revised as follows:

H.  Type of Contract(s)
 1.  Contract(s) may be on a pro bono, fixed price, or an hourly basis.  

 2.  The IAOC recognizes that bidders may have difficulty pricing their bid without having some experience with the nature and extent of the IETF support requirements.  
     To that end, the IETF will entertain bids based on an hourly rate with the willingness to consider moving toward a fixed price contract in the third year.  Goals are to 
     achieve a level of certainty in the budget and reduce barriers to the attorney client relationship.  

 3.  Note, as stated herein.  The IAOC will seek to enter into contract(s) with a Provider or Providers that IAOC deems, in its sole discretion, to represent the best value
     combination of performance and cost, not necessarily the low bidder.
