Minutes

The Minutes for 11/10 and 11/17, 2006, were approved.

IAD Report

Registrations for the Dallas IETF seem to be in line with previous meetings.

The IAD described mechanisms for the possible donations to the IETF from
royalties based on IETF Trust materials. This matter was discussed and was
deferred to the next IETF Trust Trustee Meeting. There was consensus that the
matter should be handled as indicated in BCP 101.

The status of the sponsors and host cities for IETF 66, 67 and 68 were
discussed.

The IAD reported on his visit to the RFC Editor in Los Angeles. The peak of the
document backlog was in September, 2005, and the queue is being steadily
reduced.

IAOC Old Business

The IASA "Tao" document was discussed, and a last call was issued for
publishing the current draft.

Committee Reports

There were a brief series of committee reports. The RFC Editor RFP committee
had their monthly phone discussion, and the IAD performance review committee
met and intends to have a final sit-down review with the IAD at the Dallas
IETF.

IAOC New Business

The Palet draft was discussed at length. The IAOC feels that it is important
that the community realize that this draft will be used operationally by the
IAOC. The IAD said that he feels that the draft, and community feedback to the
draft, are important in planning new meetings.

The IAOC agreed that the IAD should be the point of contact for all discussions
about new meeting locations.

House Keeping

The IAOC discussed meeting dates for 2008 and 2009, which should be finalized
soon.
