Approval of the Minutes

The approval of the Minutes were deferred. 

IAD Report for May 25, 2006

The IAD reported on the progress of negotiations concerning a multi-meeting 
contract based on responses to a request for proposals sent to various Hotel 
chains. The goal is to save the IETF money through a multi-year non-exclusive 
contract. 

The IAD reported that the meeting schedule for 2008, 2009 and 2010 had been 
through several revisions based on a desire to avoid direct conflicts with 
various IEEE meetings and was ready to be sent for public comments. 

After discussion the IAOC decided that the current version was ready for an 
internal last call before being sent to the community for public comment.

The IAOC discussed the agenda for the retreat the following week.

    * RFC Editor RFP
          o RFI "public/private" text

The IAOC discussed the RFI for the RFC Editor RFP, and concluded this was ready 
for publishing after revision. The IAOC also discussed the terms for the 
subsequent RFP. 

    * Meeting Planning
          o Host relations document

The IAD described a document in preparation to describe the responsibilities of 
the hosts of IETF meetings. This document was placed on the agenda for the 
upcoming retreat.

The IAOC discussed its presentation before the ISOC Board at its summer meeting 
in Morocco.

The IAOC discussed various logistical details of the upcoming retreat.
