Approval of the Minutes

The Minutes for the IAOC Teleconference of July 14th, having previously been distributed and discussed, were approved.

IAOC Old Business
– 2 hour block needed.

The Chair reported that she and the IAD had discussed a face-to-face meeting during the IETF week with principals at NeuStar. The agreed upon time was Monday, August 1, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM.

A possible meeting with Robert Kahn of CNRI was discussed, but no time has been set as yet.

The IAOC discussed outstanding issues between CNRI, NeuStar and the IETF. Version 5 of the proposed draft agreement for Secretariat services has been sent to NeuStar; it is still too early to expect a response.

IAD Report

The IAD described more details of the most recent NeuStar call, including the discussions about the proposed Statement of Work (SOW). The IAD reported to the IAOC that the RFC Editor has begun hiring of a additional full time professional editor.

The IAOC went over the IAD's proposed viewgraph slides for his IETF Plenary report, and also for the ISOC Board Meeting during the IETF week.

Trust

The IAOC has received a new draft of the proposed IPR Trust Agreement from Bob Kahn of CNRI. The IAOC discussed the major issues remaining with this draft, including the status of possibly hard to access historical data.

House Keeping

The IAOC discussed the Plenary presentation further.

The IAOC Chair reported that she has completed the desired document repository, with on-line versions of all relevant signed documents.

New Business

The IAOC agreed that the IAD should become the press contact for the Tao of the Internet.
