Legal Issues

The IETF Counsel, Jorge Contreras, described to the IAOC the legal steps and expenses that might be involved in implementing the proposed IETF Trust.

IAD Report

The IAD and the IETF Chair are working together to develop a survey questionnaire to send to IETF 63 meeting attendees to evaluate the meeting itself and suggest changes to future meetings. They expect to have the survey ready in the next few days.

The IAD also described the steps being taken in site selection for IETF 65.

Trust

The IAOC discussed revisions to the draft proposed IETF Trust agreement stemming from the meetings in Paris with the IETF Counsel.
The ISOC Board of Directors resolution concerning the IETF Trust has been approved.

Lynn St. Amour reported that the ISOC board meeting schedule is moving up about three weeks, with the meeting now proposed for the end of October in Reston, Virginia, or the DC area.
The IAOC Chair will send a letter to CNRI with the new draft IETF Trust Agreement, and will also draft a letter to the community with information.

NeuStar

The IETF Chair suggested, and the IAOC agreed, that it was time to solicit informal reviews from IESG members of the draft Statement of Work. The IAOC Chair will solicit similar reviews from the IETF Tools team.
