The Minutes for March 16th and April 6th were discussed and approved.

IAD Report for 4/13/06

Updates on site selection

The IAD reported that the debriefing of NeuStar personnel on the results of the Dallas IETF meeting would be on Wednesday April 19th at 9:30 AM EDT.

The IAD reported on the current state of site selection for the 67th IETF meeting. The IAD and a team from NeuStar Secretariat Services plans a trip to potential venues during the subsequent week.

Hosting and Sponsorships

The IAD reported that the Dallas IETF meeting was over-budget for food and beverage costs. The IAOC discussed ways to better negotiate hotel contracts for future IETF meetings. There was discussion of the IETF meeting costs as compared to the costs of running similar meetings for other organizations.

Lynn St. Amour reported on ideas for increasing the sponsorship of the IETF. She plans to aggressively implement these ideas at ISOC.

Ed Juskevicius proposed a motion that IETF Montreal registration go forward with the existing registration fee schedule. After discussion, this motion passed unanimously.

Given the press of unfinished business, the IAOC decided that next week's meeting would be a combined IAOC and IETF Trustee meeting, with the IETF Trustee meeting occurring first.
