Portia Wenze-Danley

Photo of Portia Wenze-DanleyPortia Wenze-Danley joined IETF on October 1, 2017 to provide interim oversight of the organization’s administrative activities.  She was the Chief Operating Officer for the Center for Democracy and Technology for over eight and a half years and has over 21 years of diverse senior organizational management experience, including leading a historic green building renovation and LEED certification process.  She was responsible for CDT’s general office administration, human resources, facilities management, and systems administration.

Prior to CDT, Mrs. Wenze-Danley was the lead staff person directing the multimillion-dollar rebuilding to ADA and green specifications of the Friends Committee on National Legislation’s office building on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.  She is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC and has a Masters in Public Administration from Strayer University.

Mrs. Wenze-Danley lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Terrell “Chef Tee” Danley, and they are the parents of Nina Lanore Wenze Danley, a junior attending Spelman College in Atlanta, GA.
